Click here to view The Evening Record dated February 7, 1918 where they printed James N. Davis' letter home.

James writes of how much he wants some home cooking sent to him and how much that means to the soldiers overseas.  He also makes a statement on how far ahead the U.S.A. is to France when it comes to everyday life.  James left Hackensack High School to join the Army at the outbreak of the war.

Let us never forget the soldiers sacrifice.
